Describe the appearance
The image prompt gives you room to describe a face, an outfit and the surroundings. Start with the features you already know: the length and color of the hair, the expression, or a piece of clothing that belongs to this person. For an original character, those details may come from a story you are writing. For a roleplay avatar, you might only have a rough idea of the appearance so far. Either is enough to start putting a description together.
The example above uses wavy auburn hair and amber eyes, then adds a white blouse and a ruby pendant. The room and afternoon light describe the setting. An expression gives a personality trait something visible: “a soft smile” describes what to draw more directly than “a kind person.” You can include these details in the same prompt, then choose an available image style before generating.
Start with a reference
If you already have a picture of your character, add it in Source Image. It becomes another input alongside the written description. This is useful when a hairstyle, outfit or facial expression is difficult to explain in words. The reference is optional; a text prompt can also be used on its own. When you do add one, use the description to spell out the features you want the generator to include.
The style selector is a separate choice. You can try the same description with another available style to compare how the appearance is drawn. Keeping the prompt unchanged makes the results easier to compare, although details can still vary between attempts. A reference can guide the appearance, but it does not lock the face to an exact likeness.
Compare the results before choosing
Generation returns candidates to review in Preview. Check the details that matter to your idea: whether the expression fits, whether a distinctive accessory is present, and how much of the outfit is visible. A face you like may still come with clothing or a setting you want to change. If the image will become a small avatar, also consider whether the face will remain clear after cropping.
When none of the candidates fits, revise the relevant part of the prompt and generate another set. If the clothing is wrong, for example, replace a broad description with the garment and color you had in mind. Review the whole result again, since a new generation may also change other details. Once you have an image you want to keep, select it and confirm your choice in the creator.

Character background
Avatar and background
The same image can supply a close-up avatar and the larger character background. Crop around the face for the avatar, then adjust the background framing to include more of the outfit or setting. Check both views before finishing: a composition that works at full size may lose a detail in the smaller crop.
Personality and opening scene
Continue in the character creator to write who this person is and how a conversation begins. The introduction can explain their role and your connection to them; the prologue sets the opening scene. Personality and background details give you space to describe how they speak and behave alongside the appearance you have chosen.
Frequently asked questions
Will the result look exactly like my reference?
An exact likeness is not guaranteed. Facial details can change between generations, even when you use the same reference.
Which styles are available?
Open Image Style in the creator to see the options available for your account and character settings. Some require membership. The options shown there determine what you can select for your next generation.
Is it free?
The creator shows your available free generations and the Gem cost of additional attempts before you generate. Check that allowance when trying another prompt or style, since each new set is a separate generation.
Do I need an account?
Yes. Sign in to upload a reference or generate images.
